Being a Home Inspector carrying out a HCR or EPC is more than merely a tick box exercise, in order to provide home condition reports and energy performance certificates candidates have to under go extensive training.
Home Inspectors responsible for preparing HCR's & EPC's will hold a qualification at NVQ Level 4 (equivalent to degree level) and will require in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of residential building construction and defects across a range of properties as set out in the approved National Occupational Standards for Home Inspectors.
